Periodically the YHMA holds conferences on major themes in Yukon history and pre-history. The conferences include guest speakers, the presentation of research papers, films, field trips and discussions. Conference locations vary to include Yukon’s many diverse communities.
Yukon, Alaska and First Nations governance
The Yukon Historical & Museums Association and Yukon College will be hosting this conference October 22-25th in Whitehorse. We will be celebrating 100 years of Wholly Elected Yukon Council, 50 years of Alaska Statehood and First Nations governments.
Join us for guest speakers, workshops and lots more.
Day sessions will take place at Yukon College in Whitehorse. Evening events will take place at the Old Log Church Museum, Beringia Centre and the Yukon Legislative Building - Whitehorse.
