The YHMA presents awards to individuals, organizations and businesses which have made a special contribution to the conservation or interpretation of some aspect of Yukon’s heritage.
The 2017 Heritage Symposium, Activating Our Communities, will take place on Thursday, October 26 at the Klondike Insitute of Art and Culture in Dawson City. Join YHMA for a chance to meet new colleagues and catch up with old ones, be inspired by new ideas and trends, and share knowledge and best practices. Registration will be free of charge!

A limited number of print copies of "The Northern Review" #44, "The North and the First World War," are now available for sale through YHMA for just $25 each. This packed volume includes 19 papers originally presented at "The North and the First World War" conference, held in May 2016 and produced by YHMA and the International Centre for Northern Governance and Development in partnership with Yukon College.
The Yukon Historical & Museums Association (YHMA) announced today that The North and the First World War conference talks will be available online on April 18 in a special edition of The Northern Review. A limited number of hard copy editions will be out soon.
The North and the First World War conference, held between May 9-12 in 2016, was co-produced by YHMA and the University of Saskatchewan (International Centre for Northern Governance and Development), in partnership with Yukon College.

The successful candidate will be passionate about heritage and a post-secondary, full-time student working towards a degree or diploma in a heritage field, communications/marketing, event planning, non-profit management, or a related field.
The Yukon Historical & Museums Association (YHMA) invites Yukoners to celebrate Yukon heritage on Monday, February 20, 2017 at the Annual Heritage Awards. The celebration will take place at 7:00 pm at the Yukon Archives in Whitehorse. Doors will open to the public at 6:30 pm.

YHMA is a non-profit organization that serves to connect and support the Yukon’s heritage community, including museums, First Nation cultural centres and heritage organizations. The Executive Director reports to and is guided by a diverse volunteer Board of Directors, and uses a wide range of skills to solve problems creatively.
