This year's Yukon Heritage Symposium was held on October 23, 2014 in Dawson City. The Yday featured presentations, workshops and other activities of interest to those engaged in the protection, conservation and celebration of our rich and diverse heritage. In addition to sharing new and best practices, this annual gathering provides an opportunity to meet others actively involved in heritage conservation across the Territory.

The Yukon Historical & Museums Association (YHMA) is pleased to announce the recipients of the 31st annual Yukon Heritage Awards.
“These annual awards honour those that work to inspire and share a passion for Yukon heritage through protection, conservation, interpretation and volunteerism,” said YHMA President Marc Johnston. “YHMA is both thrilled and honoured to present these awards to our well-deserving recipients.”

The Yukon Historical & Museums Association is seeking nominations for the 2013 Heritage Awards. The deadline for submissions is March 28 and the awards will be announced on Friday April 4, 2014. Yukoners were encouraged to celebrate Heritage Day by thinking about the Yukon's historical & cultural heritage and participating in the colouring contest found in the Yukon News. Participants were asked to name their favourite heritage place or activity. This year's theme is "have fun with heritage by celebrating historic places made for play".
Winners were drawn from all completed entries received, and will be announced in the Yukon News.
