There are two types of YHMA membership available: individual and organizational. Please review the information below to decide which best suits you, then download the applicable application form in PDF format and return it to our office once you've filled it out.

Student/Senior (55+) Membership: $15.00

Student ID required

  • Two free walking tour passes
  • 15% discount in the gift shop

Basic Individual Membership: $25.00

  • Two free walking tour passes
  • 15% discount in the gift shop
  • Quarterly newsletter
  • Vote at the AGM/SGM

 

Family Membership 2 adults and 2 children (under 18): $45.00

  • Four free walking tour passes
  • 15% discount in the gift shop
  • Quarterly newsletter
  • Vote at the AGM/SGM

 

Individuals Providing Heritage Services Membership: $50.00

  • Two free walking tour passes
  • 15% discount in the gift shop
  • Quarterly Newsletter
  • Vote at the AGM/SGM
  • Free business listing on heritageyukon.ca
  • One free business card-sized ad in newsletter
  • Listing in the contractor database

Any donations over $20 will receive a tax receipt.

Business: $125.00

For businesses and organizations other than the heritage community

 

Contributing Memberships:

For museums, cultural centres, and heritage organizations/associations. (Levels based on revenues and grants)

Level 1 (under $50,000): $35.00
Level 2 ($50,000-$150,000): $50.00
Level 3 ($150,000-$300,000): $65.00
Level 4 ($300,000+): $80.00

Communication: Heritage After Hours and Heritage and Culture Interagency Group

Heritage Training Fund: Provides funding to individuals, businesses, collectives, not-for-profit heritage associations or organizations engaged in heritage work or requiring pre-employment training for the heritage sector

Technology services: Advisory role on new technologies, digitizations, and access to local, regional and national resources

Advisory Service: Professional advice, referrals, and access to local, regional, and national resources

Advocacy: Represents interests and concerns of membership to municipal, territorial, federal and national governments, associations and the general public

Awards program: Annual Heritage Awards in recognition of those individuals and businesses that make a difference in the Yukon heritage sector

Yukon Heritage Fairs program: Yukon Heritage Fairs is an educational initiative that encourages students to explore an aspect of Canadian Heritage in a dynamic and captivating learning environment
