YHMA offers a series of do-it-yourself walking tours. Download our professionally-produced audio files to your iPhone, iPod, or other MP3 player and follow the map for an immersive, engaging tour of Whitehorse.
Every year, the YHMA offers Historical Walking Tours of Whitehorse. Our knowledgeable and engaging guides take you to a variety of historical buildings throughout the City, providing captivating and often entertaining stories of local events and the people that were a part of them.
Our tour season begins in June and runs until the end of August. It's the perfect time of the year to explore the streets of Old Whitehorse while enjoying stories about their past: you might hear about the fire of 1905, the construction the W.P and Y.R. railway and Alaska Highway, or even about the infamous Buzzsaw Jimmie!
Tours typically run 45 minutes in length, and depart from historic Donnenworth House at 3126 3rd Ave.
