We also offer a series of do-it-yourself walking tours. Download our professionally-produced audio files to your iPhone, iPod, or other MP3 player and follow the map we've prepared for an immersive, engaging tour of Whitehorse.
Every year, the YHMA offers Historical Walking Tours of Whitehorse. Our incredible and knowledgable guides take you throughout the city to see a number of the historical buildings of Whitehorse, and tell you captivating and often hilarious stories of the events and people that were a part of them.
Our tours start operating at the beginning of June and run until the end of August. It's the perfect time of the year to spend some time wandering through the streets of Whitehorse, listening to stories about an earlier Whtiehorse. You might hear about the fire of 1905, the construction the W.P and Y.R. railway and Alaska Highway, or even about the infamous Buzzsaw Jimmie!
Monday-Saturday, we offer tours of Old Whitehorse at 9:00am, 11:00am, 1:00pm and 3:00pm. Our tours typically run for 45 minutes to 1 hour in length. You can find us at the Donnenworth House at 3126 3rd Ave, dressed in our snazzy duds and ready to show you what historical Whitehorse is all about.
