Culture Days raises the awareness, accessibility, participation and engagement of Canadians in the arts and cultural life of their communities. With the support of volunteer groups at the national, provincial and local levels, hundreds of thousands of artists, cultural workers, organizations and groups, volunteers and supporters self-mobilize to host free participatory public activities that take place in hundreds of cities and towns throughout the country over the last weekend of September each year.

The Yukon Heritage Training Fund (HTF) was designed to give Yukon residents the opportunity to increase their skills and knowledge in the heritage sector. All training approved through this fund must be directly related to increasing the employability of Yukon’s heritage workers and providing Yukon employers with a better-trained workforce.

The 2017 Heritage Symposium will be held on Thursday, October 26 at the Klondike Institute of Art and Culture in Dawson City. Join YHMA for a change to meet new colleagues and catch up with old ones, be inspired by new ideas and trends\, and share knowledge and best practices on what works in the Yukon.

Join YHMA and the Whitehorse Legion at Mount McIntyre Recreation Centre from 1-4 pm to celebrate the 150th birthday of Klondike Joe Boyle. This free public event will feature kid-friendly displays, speeches, presentations, music, dance, cake, and singing.
