Established in 1977, the Yukon Historical & Museums Association is a registered charity that works to inspire and share a passion for Yukon heritage. We build a learning environment for history and culture and the development of skills and best practices. We share knowledge with the Yukon heritage community and support each other in protection and preservation projects. Most of our activities are collaborations and partnerships. Many of our events and programs honour those in the heritage sector that are dedicated to our vision.
The Department of Tourism and Culture will be hosting a Collections Management course delivered by the University of Victoria. Participation in the training opportunity is free of charge.
Completed applications for the 2015/2016 Special Projects Capital Assistance Program (SPCAP), administered by YG's Museums Unit, are due by 4:30 pm on February 13th, 2015.
